Claude Opus 5: frontier-class coding at roughly half the price
Anthropic released Claude Opus 5, aimed at long-running agents and professional work, at $5 per million input tokens and $25 output. It is the model we reach for first on long-running business automation right now, and the price makes always-on agents affordable for a twelve-person company.
- If you run an agent all day, re-price it on Opus 5. The daily cost may have halved.
- Treat the benchmark as a claim. Test on your own job before switching.
