Altman and Musk back Anthropic's call to slow AI down
Anthropic's chief executive, Dario Amodei, set out a plan to slow the pace of AI development, starting with independent monitors getting constant access to the labs' research. Sam Altman said OpenAI would also bring in independent evaluators, Elon Musk said "Dario is right", and Google DeepMind's Demis Hassabis called the direction correct. Donald Trump played the warnings down.
