At WAIC 2026, Alibaba Cloud showed a set of agent-focused tools and previewed Qwen 3.8-Max, with the company signalling that the model would be released as open weights. Open-weight models you can run yourself keep getting better. For businesses with strict data rules, that is the option to watch.
