A tester put Meta's free Muse and OpenAI's $100 dots agents to work on five chores
The reviewer tested Meta's Muse, a free app that has been the most downloaded phone app since its debut last month, and OpenAI's dots, which needs the $100 a month ChatGPT Pro 100 plan. Tasks: waiting for a hard-to-get restaurant table, sending a daily workout plan on arrival at the gym, replying to job posts, and planning meals. Muse handled the location trigger and the job replies, and dots got furthest on the table. Anthropic says it is testing a similar agent called Duet.
- Try Muse on one boring repeat chore first, such as a daily meal plan or replies to the same enquiry, before you give it anything important.
- Only connect the apps and inbox you are happy to share with a tech giant: the reviewer used a Gmail account kept only for shopping.
