Blueprints AI says it can produce permit-ready construction drawings in minutes, from $3,200 a month
TechCrunch reports that Blueprints AI, a Santa Monica startup, turns a sketch, PDF or description into construction drawings for architecture, structure, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and interior design. The first version costs between $3,200 and $8,500 a month depending on the plan, with custom pricing for large firms. Version 2 lets one change update the whole project and checks it against local building codes, and the founders say it becomes publicly available this week at Disrupt.
- If you draw or commission plans, ask any vendor for a sample set on a project like yours and have your licensed architect or engineer review it before it goes to the council or planning office.
- Work out what you spend on drafting each month before you compare. At $3,200 and up, this only pays back for firms that produce plans regularly.
