Google launches Gemini 4 Argon, its top model, at $2 per million input tokens
Google released Gemini 4 Argon on 13 October and calls it its most capable model, built for long, multi-step work in coding, finance, legal and science. Google says it ranks first on the Vals Index, which measures work in finance, coding, legal and tax. Developers get it through the API in AI Studio and the Gemini platform at an introductory $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers get it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, and Ultra subscribers in Antigravity.
- If you pay for Google AI Pro, open the Gemini app and try Argon on one real job, such as a client proposal or a month of invoices, before you decide whether it beats what you use now.
- If a developer or agency builds your tools, ask whether Argon's $2 and $10 per million tokens price is lower than what you pay today. Google calls it an introductory price, so ask what it becomes later.
