Google Play now lets you build a private app with AI Studio and run it on your own Android phone
Google announced that anyone can build a custom Android app with Google AI Studio and launch it on their own device through Google Play using only a standard Google account. The app stays private and separate from the public store. It starts rolling out on 13 October in select markets, including the US, for users aged 18 and over. Google says sharing with a close circle of friends and family comes in the coming months, and an app shared more widely needs a professional developer account and the same Trust and Safety review as any other app.
