OpenAI doubles the Work and Codex allowance on Pro 100, Pro 500 and Business Premium, and cancels the Pro 200 cut
OpenAI's release notes for 29 October say it is increasing the Work and Codex usage included in Pro and Business Premium plans. Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance. OpenAI also cancelled the Pro 200 reduction announced in its 29 September email, and Pro 200 subscribers on the lower allowance get twice their previous amount.
- If you are on Pro 100, Pro 500, Pro 200 or Business Premium, you do not need to do anything: the extra allowance is applied to your plan.
- If you were planning to downgrade or switch tools because of the Pro 200 cut, wait and look at your usage first, since the cut no longer goes ahead.
