Gizmodo reports that the Wikimedia Foundation filed an amicus, or friend of the court, brief on Thursday in the New York Times lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft. - If you publish writing, photos or a business site, check your robots.txt and your terms for what AI crawlers may take, because the rules are still being decided in court.
- When an AI answer quotes a source, open the source before you reuse the text, since the dispute is about exactly this kind of copying.
