Meta pauses sharing in its Muse agent after researchers found more than 6,800 shared chats that anyone could look up through public DNS records
Security firm Claroc reported that Muse, Meta's personal AI agent launched on 8 September, publishes a shared conversation as a public page whose web address is built from the chat title. Those addresses sit in public DNS records, so one passive-DNS search returned more than 6,800 of them. Claroc opened only a few hundred and found personal records and internal business documents. Meta told Ars Technica it has paused the feature.
