Mistral launches Voxtral 3, a voice agent toolkit and speech models in 50+ languages, with speech output at $13 per million characters
Mistral released Voxtral 3 on 20 October: a speech-to-text family covering 50+ languages, a text-to-speech model with 35+ languages and 50+ dialects, and a voice agent SDK built on LiveKit that runs listening, reasoning, tool calls and speaking in one live stream. Speech output costs $13 per million characters, which Mistral says is below OpenAI TTS-1, Deepgram, ElevenLabs Flash and Gemini Flash. It runs on Mistral's EU, US or global API endpoints, or on your own servers.
