Bloomberg reports that DeepSeek is close to raising at least $12 billion, and the total could approach $15 billion. The Chinese AI company first aimed for about $7.5 billion at a valuation near $75 billion. Battery maker CATL and Tencent are putting in the largest shares. After the round it plans to restructure for a stock-market listing in early 2027, and it is building a data centre with at least 160,000 Huawei AI chips.
