Google unveils Gemini 4 Argon, a top coding and business model that only trusted security teams can use for now
Google announced Gemini 4 Argon, its new top model for software engineering, business work such as legal and finance, and cyber defence. It is rolling out first to trusted cyber defenders through Google's Fairwind Program. Developers, businesses and consumers get it later, after more safeguard work and the US government's voluntary pre-release review. The introductory price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
- Do not plan around Argon yet: it is not open to ordinary customers, and Google gives no date beyond "as soon as possible".
- If you pay for an AI tool built on Gemini, ask the supplier whether Argon is coming and whether the price changes when it does.
