Three fired OpenAI safety researchers say they were never told in writing what they leaked

The Decoder· 24 Oct

The three OpenAI safety researchers fired over alleged leaks, Tomek Korbak, Mikita Balesni and Jasmine Wang, are disputing the company's account in interviews with the Wall Street Journal. They deny sharing confidential information, say they were never told in writing which information they supposedly mishandled, and suspect a link to their public advocacy for more transparent AI systems. OpenAI told the Journal the firings were unrelated to any safety concerns the three had raised.
