GPT-5.5 leaves ChatGPT and Codex on 14 October
OpenAI will remove GPT-5.5 from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex on 14 October across all plans, less than six months after it launched in April. Users will need to move to newer models. API access continues. If a saved workflow or custom GPT names GPT-5.5, check it before the date.
- Search your saved prompts, custom GPTs and Codex settings for GPT-5.5.
- Rerun your most important workflow on the replacement model before 14 October.
