Genea lets AI agents manage who can open which door
Genea released Genea MCP, which lets AI assistants handle building access control in plain language, such as onboarding a new employee or giving a contractor temporary access. It covers people, temporary access, access groups, doors and controllers. It is off by default and must be enabled per account and per role. Every request is checked against the user's own permissions, and deletions need explicit confirmation.
- If you use cloud door access, list who can grant building access today before letting any AI assistant do it.
- Keep confirmation on for removing people or revoking access, and review the access log each month.
