Tabby wants AI to do the bookkeeping, not just help with it
Tabby, founded by a former accountant, pulls live bank data through Plaid and uses AI to build a real-time dashboard of a business's profit and loss. The aim is to make bookkeeping a monthly charge, like payroll, rather than software you operate. Fourteen months in, 5,500 small businesses use it, for roughly $100,000 in annual recurring revenue. A plain-language interface, Tabby Talk, is on the way.
- Before switching tools, list what your accountant does for you each month and check which parts an app like this would really cover.
- If you connect your bank to any AI bookkeeper, confirm who can see the data and how you get it out if you leave.
