Google AI Plus subscribers lose access to Gemini Pro models from 13 November unless they pay for the plan that costs four times as much
Android Police reports that from 13 November, Google AI Plus subscribers will no longer be able to select Pro models in the Gemini app or in AI Mode in Google Search. To keep them, they would have to upgrade to Google AI Pro, which Android Police says costs about four times as much. AI Plus costs about 5 dollars a month and includes 400 gigabytes of cloud storage and Deep Research.
- If you pay for AI Plus, open your Google One or Gemini plan page before 13 November and decide whether the Flash models are enough for what you do.
- If you only use Gemini for emails and summaries, test a few of your usual tasks on the Flash model now, so you know before you decide to pay more.
