Google's free AI Pro trials come with fewer benefits than the paid plan, including no Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity
9to5Google reported on 16 October that free trials of Google AI Pro, which Google bundles with devices such as the Pixel 11 and Chromebooks, are more limited than a paid AI Pro plan at $19.99 a month. The trial leaves out Gemini 4 Argon in the Antigravity coding tool, YouTube Premium Lite until the user pays, and the Google Store cashback perk.
- If you got AI Pro free with a phone, laptop or Chromebook for the business, write down the date the trial ends and the feature you bought it for, then check that feature works on the trial before you plan work around it.
- Before you pay for AI Pro, open Google's AI plans page and compare what the plan lists against what you saw during the trial. Ask for anything unclear in writing from Google support.
