Gmail's AI Inbox reaches paid Google Workspace plans, pulling the to-dos and deadlines out of your email
Google announced on 15 October that Gmail's AI Inbox is rolling out to paid Workspace users. It lists suggested to-dos, pulling action items, deliverables and deadlines out of email conversations, and a set of topics to catch up on, with summaries of long threads. Availability covers Business Starter, Standard and Plus, and the feature is limited to US users with English (US) as their language.
- If your business runs on Google Workspace, open Gmail on desktop or in the mobile app menu in the next few days and see whether AI Inbox appears for you. Try it on one busy week of email before you rely on its list.
- Check each suggested to-do against the original email before you act. Treat it as a first pass, and keep your own list for anything with a customer deadline.
