Apple adds an AI assistant to Pages, Keynote and Numbers, free for Apple Creator Studio subscribers from November
Apple said on 27 October that Keynote, Pages and Numbers get new AI features in beta, including assistants that understand document context, plus support for the Model Context Protocol so other AI agents can plug into the apps. The Verge reports the assistant is built on AI models from Apple and OpenAI, can draft, restructure and tweak text in Pages, and can calculate, organise and suggest chart types in Numbers, on devices that support Apple Intelligence running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27 or later. Apple says the update reaches the App Store this November as a free update for existing Apple Creator Studio subscribers. Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro also get AI tools.
- If you already pay for Apple Creator Studio, look for the update in the App Store in November and try the assistant on one real document, such as a quote or a price list.
- Check what the assistant sends off your device before using it on customer data, and read Apple's footnotes on the beta.
