ChatGPT dots: always-on agents that keep working when you leave
OpenAI launched dots, always-on agents inside ChatGPT that keep working on a goal after you stop typing. Each runs on GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI's top model, with its own cloud computer, and can connect to over 4,000 apps. You can reach a dot in ChatGPT, Codex, Slack or Teams. They are rolling out to Pro and Business Premium subscribers in eligible markets.
- Pick one recurring errand, such as chasing overdue invoices, and write down the rules a dot would need, including what it must ask you before doing.
- Give any agent its own logins with the least access it needs, never your owner account, so you can switch it off without locking yourself out.
