CISA warns a new Citrix NetScaler flaw is being exploited, and patches are crashing some appliances
CISA added CVE-2026-88779, a memory overflow bug in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Gateway, to its exploited-vulnerabilities list. Citrix has seen targeted attacks that can cause denial of service. It affects on-premises appliances using SAML sign-in, in versions before 14.1-73.41 and 13.1-64.28. Some users report crashes after patching earlier flaws, and attackers are trying to install webshells.
- If your business or your IT provider runs NetScaler, ask today whether it is on 14.1-73.41 or 13.1-64.28 or later and whether SAML sign-in is on.
- If you do not know whether you use NetScaler, ask your IT provider to confirm in one line, and who watches for such alerts.
