TikTok launches an AI shopping assistant and one-click checkout from the For You feed
TikTok announced a Shopping Assistant, a conversational agent that remembers a shopper's preferences and answers questions on product details, shipping, sizing and availability, and a one-click checkout that lets people buy directly from a brand from their For You feed. TikTok says the features are built with commerce and payment partners including Salesforce, Shopify, Shoplazza and Stripe.
- If you sell products online, check that your product pages answer sizing, shipping and stock questions clearly, because AI assistants will quote them.
- Ask your shop platform whether it connects to TikTok checkout, and test with one product before listing the range.
