A Google Home update stops Gemini speakers randomly saying 'Sorry, I didn't understand' when nobody spoke
9to5Google reports that Google released the second October Gemini for Home update, with six changes for Gemini in the Google Home app. The most notable fix is for a bug that made Home and Nest speakers and displays say 'Sorry, I didn't understand' at random, with no request. Two more fixes stop Gemini misunderstanding requests to move music from one room to another, and stop it changing the wrong kind of timer (sleep, media or normal). The update is live from today, though it may take time to reach everyone.
- Open the Google Home app and check for updates, then ask your speaker to move music between rooms to see if it now works.
- If you set a sleep timer by voice, say which timer you mean and check in the app that the right one changed.
