Meta quietly launches Style Sketch, an AI app that builds outfits from clothes you have posted on Instagram

TechCrunch· 29 Oct

TechCrunch reports that Meta has quietly launched Style Sketch, an AI fashion app that helps users put together outfits from clothes they already own. It connects to Instagram to build a virtual closet from photos you have posted, or lets you add items by photo, video or upload. It suggests outfits, lets you try them on a model matched to your body shape and skin tone, and plans outfits for trips. It is available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Meta did not respond to TechCrunch about a wider launch.

  • If you live in Indonesia, Singapore or Thailand and want to try it, think first about whether you want an app reading your Instagram photos, and use manual upload instead if not.
  • Elsewhere, there is nothing to do yet. Google Photos already offers a similar digital closet tool, according to TechCrunch.
