Meta open-sources code to build your own Muse gadgets
Meta has released open-source code for building devices that run its Muse agent on off-the-shelf boards such as an ESP32 or a Raspberry Pi, connected to displays, buttons and sensors. Suggested projects include a colour E Ink screen for reminders. Meta is also giving away 5,000 of its own Muse Home Link gadgets, which can control lights, a TV or a printer through community-built skills.
- Think of one screen on your premises that shows the same thing all day, such as a menu, a queue or today's bookings, and note what it would need to show to be useful.
- Do not connect an agent to door locks, payments or a printer holding customer data until it has been tested on something harmless.
