FIT and Intel launch an AI skills programme for Ireland's workforce with a new AI lab, starting with pilots

SISilicon Republic· 23 Oct

Silicon Republic reports that Fastrack into Information Technology (FIT) and Intel are starting the AI for Future Workforce Programme to build AI skills among people working in Ireland. It includes an AI lab, FIT's first physical training space for one of its programmes, with computers, servers and computing resources for learners to experiment. It begins with pilot programmes, then widens to more learners and employer-led upskilling and reskilling. It is Intel's first Digital Readiness partnership in Ireland.

  • If you employ people in Ireland, ask FIT whether your staff or local jobseekers can join the pilot, and what it costs. The article gives no price.
  • Make a list of the three jobs in your business that AI tools could change first, so you know what skills to ask a course for.
