Gemini can now create and search your notebooks from any chat, on by default everywhere except the EU and EEA

9T9to5Google· 23 Oct

9to5Google reports that Gemini Notebook is now available as a Connected App in the Gemini app. In any chat you can ask Gemini to create, edit or delete a notebook, add or remove sources, list what is in a notebook, and answer questions from it. Quoting Google, it says the app is on by default for users globally, except in the European Economic Area, where it is off by default. It is open to Workspace customers and personal accounts.

  • If you are in Ireland or elsewhere in the EEA and want it, turn on Gemini Notebook in the Gemini app's connected apps. Elsewhere, check whether it is on and switch it off if you do not want chats linked to your notebooks.
  • Before you add client files as sources, check what the notebook shares, and keep sensitive documents out of it.
