Sweden's Government Offices will block ChatGPT and Claude on staff computers from Monday and steer people to Copilot
Sveriges Radio's Ekot reports that the Swedish Government Offices will block ChatGPT and Claude on staff work computers from Monday. The aim is for staff to use services the Offices have approved, including Microsoft's Copilot, whose security has also been raised after a review. Ekot says the tax agency Skatteverket and the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care already block such tools, and the enforcement agency Kronofogden is considering it.
- Write a one-page rule for your staff: which AI tools they may use for work, and what they must never paste in, such as customer details, contracts or passwords.
- Ask your team which AI tools they already use. Ekot says Trafikverket's own audit found risky use of about ten different AI services, and the same often happens in small firms.
